Super Inox’s Nodo and Enigma collections have been awarded the iF Design Award 2026, one of the most established international awards in the field of product design.
The award is assigned through a rigorous selection process involving juries composed of professionals and scholars in the sector, who are called upon to evaluate projects according to specific criteria: innovation, functionality, formal quality, sustainability and user experience.

The result achieved by the two collections confirms a design approach based on technical research, aesthetic consistency and attention to detail.

Enigma: innovation hidden in simplicity

Designed by Piet Billekens, Enigma is a collection of AISI316L stainless steel mixers for washbasins, bidets, bathtubs and showers that focuses on the relationship between gesture and form.
The design stands out for its patented mechanism integrated into the handle: opening and closing are achieved through the fluid vertical movement of a small rod that rotates on a ball, while the horizontal movement regulates the water temperature.
This technical solution allows the linear geometry of the mixer to remain unchanged even during use.

A minimal, imperceptible detail changes the user experience and introduces a different language, where technological complexity remains hidden and the final perception is one of naturalness and precision.

Nodo: the elegance of a shape reminiscent of tradition

The Nodo collection, designed by Raffaella Mangiarotti, stems from a clear idea: the fluid intersection of two cylinders that meet in the centre to form a sphere, in a modern reinterpretation of the traditional and most ancient form of the tap.
The central joint, from which the collection takes its name, joins the lines with absolute continuity, as if the object had been drawn with a single stroke.
The material is fundamental in the creation of this object: only steel can allow the joints to be virtually invisible.

iF Design Award: recognition that reinforces a design direction

For Super Inox, the award given to the two collections is a very important recognition of the company’s mission:

• integration between industrial design and mechanical research
• use of stainless steel as a structural material, not just for aesthetic purposes
• focus on durability and sustainability through precise manufacturing and minimal components
